I've got a few How to Draw Manga books in the past and have found them to be repetitive and short. However, this one was a great help and had a lot of diversity. It had an amazing amount of different selections of intimate apparell (spelling?), and it was really interesting. There was an entire section on past intimate apparell that was really helpful, and the amount of different bras and panties was amazing. Half cup bras, 3/4 cup bras, full bras, strapless bras, tummy bras, etc. Then there was lacing for the bras. Then there is a whole section on how to draw all of these things. I wouldn't recommend this for a beginner, but it is an extremely good book for medium to great manga artists.
I found this book a very helpful guide.If you're interested in how to draw the female manga character in different undergarments or "intimate apparel" from various poses and angles then this book will be a helpful guide. It also illustrates well how "intimate apparel" of female manga characters fit on and move with the female manga body.If you're just learning how to draw manga than this book may not be for you. It doesn't have instructional illustrations on how to draw the anatomy of female manga characters. This book assumes you already have knowledge of how to draw manga and have art skills.
It surprised me to see that in this volume, the autors showed details of the underwear cotums above my expectation. I was afraid that the volume would be limited to panties and underbras, but the authors showed all sort of costums and an historical view of the underwear in diverse historical periods. A gratefull surprise to such a simple subject
The book came in great shape. I think I bought this one for my daughter. She is quite an artist and I believe this book helped with her sketching.

Ok all of us out there have a pretty good idea on how underwear should look and there's only so many different ways to draw them. I found the book to be a little dissapointing and seems repetative on the same subjects. What I did like the most was the fashion section through the ages starting with Ancient Egypt through to today. Though don't get too excited this section is 1/8 of the book and goes by quick. As for the rest, well I'd skip this one especially if you have a good imagination, you can come up with your own ideas as to how seductive or innocent your character's outfits should be.
